1.Management is what Management does. Justify the statement and exaplain.


2.Explain the Principles of Management.
Answer : Management Principles developed by Henri Fayol: 
1.       DIVISION OF WORK: Work should be divided among individuals and groups to ensure  that effort and attention are focused on special portions of the task. Fayol presented work specialization as the best way to use the human resources


3.Describe the techniques of effective coordination.
Answer : The main-techniques of effective coordination are as follows:
1. Sound planning:
Unity of purpose is the first essential condition of coordination. Therefore, the goals of the organization and goals of its units must be clearly defined. Every member of the organization must understand fully how his job contributes to the overall objectives. Plan­ning is the ideal stage for coordination.
Clear-cut objectives, harmonized policies and integrated procedures ensure uniformity of action. Various plans should be integrated properly. Precise policies and comprehen­sive programmers facilitate coordination of activities and individuals. Standard procedures and rules create uniformity in repetitive opera­tions.

5.Explain the features of an open door organization.
Answer : An organization is a setup where individuals from diverse backgrounds, different educational qualifications, varied mentalities and temperaments join hands to work towards a common goal. It is the culture of the workplace which unites all the employees, help them enjoy their work and deliver their level best.

6.Explain the different approaches to leadership and its role in management.
Answer : While it’s relatively easy for us to describe some leaders with specific words, such as Barack Obama as charismatic and Cesar Millan as kindly assertive, there are many well developed theories and models of understanding types of leaders. I read Andrew J. DuBrin’s 1995 publication of Leadership: Research findings, practice, and skills. The text provided an overview of research and literature on leadership and explored many interesting concepts including empathy in leadership, which it defined as “the ability to place oneself in the other person’s shoes,” (DuBrin, 1995, p. 39) and the importance of nonverbal communication, which the text claimed effective leaders are ‘masterful’ at. (DuBrin, 1995, p. 265)
